Shorthand Codes
To learn items that were somehow linked together in school we used mnemonic tricks such as “I before E, except after C” or this one for the planets “Mary’s Violet Eyes Makes John Stay Up Nights Pondering” (for Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). You can still use this technique today for information and lists that you want to remember. Mnemonics can be fun, and they require very little effort.
