Regular Rest

Did you know that resting regularly is essential in order to balance your workout routine? Recovery periods are necessary because they help to avoid overtraining, reduce the chance for injury, and minimize plateaus in cardiovascular and muscular fitness, and associated fitness goals. Recovery can be in the form of time away from the workout routine or during periods of low-volume training. Appropriate recovery periods for you can be determined by the professionals that you surround yourself as an athlete, and they are important points to discuss with your doctor, physical therapist, or personal trainer.
