Team Huskey: Helping Local Animal Shelters!

Tina and St. Leonard volunteers help the 10th Life Cat Shelter by collecting empty medicine bottles to be recycled for veterinarian use and distribution.

Team Assisted Care: Aviary Update!

A family of doves!  Residents really enjoyed seeing the foursome cuddled together in the corner of the aviary.  It is so special to see something like that.  The two little ones just flew from the nest a couple of days ago and before you know it they will be full size.  Come visit our activity room to see the variety of birds that we actually have.

Coco, one of our therapy dogs, visits a few times a month at Assisted Care. Dog visits bring much joy to the residents and bring back lots of memories to those who owned dogs in their past. Looks like Coco enjoys having his picture taken!

Coco is our new visiting pet therapy dog and she began her visit by sitting on Bill's feet. Bill and Coco both thought that was pretty funny.

Always the residents enjoy visits from the many dogs that come for Pet Therapy. Just seeing the dogs and then being able to pet them and even give them a drink of water bring such joy to the Assisted Care and Day-a-Way residents. We are so grateful for their visits.~Sister Christine Doerger
