Hi everyone, the attached pictures were taken very early this morning. My son, Doug, & their daughter, Hannah, left today for a two week medical mission trip to Ethiopia. They are part of a large group consisting of medical personnel as well as missionaries. Doug & Hannah are part of the medical team that will be performing heart surgeries on teenagers & young adults. Doug is the only perfusionist on the team. Hannah is a nursing student set to graduate in Dec. While there, part of the team will be visiting an orphanage. The men in the St. L. Woodworking shop donated 82 of the hand made cars. These cars were a huge hit last year as the little ones have few if any toys.The pictures show how much equipment had to be sent with Doug & Hannah. Filled a large van as well as a sport vehicle.
My prayers are for a safe & successful trip for all involved - patients & volunteers.
