The area's oldest German-American club is the Dayton Liederkranz-Turner. It was granted a charter as a singing club in 1890, and for over a hundred years has continued to keep alive the finest in traditional German customs and culture. A few dancers from Liederkranz-Turner graciously volunteered to come for an afternoon of fun with the residents. They named their attire and demonstrated a few dances and then invited some residents to join them in a traditional German dance. Everyone had a wonderful time!~ Submitted by Sister Christine~
