Step Three, Meeting with the St. Leonard Community
Step three of our certification process involved meeting with the community "recruits" and orienting them to both the Vital Life Program and to the programs and goals that we will be offering in the next six weeks, as we journey together toward optimal health. The residents and employees responded with questions and feedback that helped to build excitement and a sense of commitment. During the meeting, we reviewed the Disney walk guidelines and progress, and we introduced the teams and the possibilities for new and innovative opportunities for social programs. We explored together the measurement process and realized that brief meetings with the teams might also be productive to clarify any issues, in order to keep all teams running as independently as possible.
