Team St. Leonard Foundation: Loving Tribute

St. Leonard Foundation Loving Tribute plaques are springing up along with flowers and trees around San Damiano Residence! Resident Foundation Ambassadors (pictured) planted their plaque on March 22, representing the first Loving Tribute gift to Benevolent Care. Fourteen other donors have followed, with gifts of $1,000 (plaque by a tree) and $1,200 (plaque by a bench), all to benefit those in need at St. Leonard. Mary Jean Megginson is pictured on the bench by her Loving Tribute plaque In Loving Memory of her husband, Jim.

The Benevolent Care Fund assures residents will not need to leave St. Leonard if they outlive their resources. Donors choose inscriptions "In Honor" or "In Loving Memory" for their plaques, and can choose the type of tree and location. One family joined together to give a gift in memory of their mother who had years of happiness living at St. Leonard. Truly a loving tribute that also benefits others!

Team St. Leonard Foundation:Thank-A-Thon!

St. Leonard Foundation resident Ambassadors gathered early in February for their first Thank-A-Thon, hand-addressing envelopes and signing more than 200 special Valentines to send to valued donors. These residents who serve the mission of St. Leonard Foundation added twenty-five signatures to the Valentines “with heartfelt gratitude” on behalf of all residents who benefit from donor generosity.

Grateful for the security the Benevolent Care Fund offers residents and for life-enhancing extras funded by Greatest Need Fund gifts, the Foundation Ambassadors added a truly personal touch to the St. Leonard Foundation’s annual donor Thank-A-Thon.

Team Foundation: Stewardship Reception

Leadership Donors Attend Stewardship Reception

St. Leonard Foundation hosted a special reception for leadership donors at The Franciscan Center, St. Leonard’s new wellness center, on August 25, 2011. The 128 attendees included Campaign Leaders (who committed $10,000 or more for the Building on Compassion Campaign) and Lifetime Leaders (who have given at least $10,000 cumulatively as faithful supporters over the years). Donors toured the new building prior to its grand opening on September 15, and were the first guests to sample delicious food from The Franciscan Center’s Station House restaurant. St. Leonard Foundation Board members and St. Leonard management staff joined together at the reception to thank this group of valued donors who have generously supported the mission of St. Leonard.
